Atlanta Dream All-Star Angel McCoughtry picked a good night to be great yesterday evening as her team faced WNBA playoff elimination. After losing a tough game to the Chicago Sky here in Atlanta on Friday (77-80), the Dream traveled to the Windy City looking to extend the series and return home for Game 3 on Tuesday. After Angel’s marvelous performance yesterday, there will be a game 3 as the Dream defeated the Sky (92-83).
Angel not only decided to have a career day yesterday scoring 39 points, she was a terror on defensive keeping her Chicago Sky opponents at bay. Angel was (13-20) from the field while going (13-14) for the free throw line. Angel’s big night assured Dream fans that they can run with the Dream tomorrow at Philips Arena. Game 3 of the WNBA Eastern Conference Semi-Finals matchup between the Atlanta Dream and Chicago Sky tips at 7:30 EST.
