Today’s first 2013 NFL Wildcard Saturday matchup features the (11-5) Kansas City Chiefs vs. (11-5) Indianapolis Colts.
This will be Andy Reid’s first playoff game as the Chiefs head coach and he is faced with the challenge of getting Kansas City their first playoff win in 20 years. A tough task on the road against a talented Indy team. The Colts and sophomore quarterback Andrew Luck are looking to defend their home and get a win against a solid Chiefs defense that features Derrick Johnson and Eric Berry.
Despite the Colts having home field advantage in today’s matchup, I expect the Chiefs to come away with the victory. Look for Alex Smith to be more than a game manager today and pass for 3 touchdowns, 2 to Dwayne Bowe. Andrew Luck will be the crafty quarterback he is and put up points but today just wont be the Colts day.
Chiefs 34 Colts 23
