The primetime matchup for the NFL’s 2013 Wildcard Saturday is the (11-5) New Orleans Saints marching into a cold Lincoln Financial Field to face the (10-6) Philadelphia Eagles.
Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints have a history of not winning on the road in the postseason and they are looking to change that tonight. Drew Brees and the Saints all-pro tight end Jimmy Graham have been nearly unstoppable this season and they would like to continue their success in Philly tonight.
The Eagles are led by rookie head coach Chip Kelly and after winning the NFC East in his first season, Eagles fans believe that the sky is the limit. With Nick Foles and Lesean McCoy running the Eagles high octane offense, this game could easily turn into a high scoring shootout.
I expect the Eagles and Lesean McCoy to continue their hot streak and produce enough points to edge Drew Brees and the Saints offense. Look for McCoy to have 3 total touchdowns and for the Eagles defense to cause 2 turnovers. Jimmy Graham and Brees will connect for two scores but the Eagles offense will be too much to overcome.
Eagles 38 Saints 24
