Tonight’s week 5 Thursday night matchup is a NFC North battle. The (2-2) Green Bay Packers host the (2-2) Minnesota Vikings. The Packers have looked like two different teams this young season. The Packers have struggled against the Lions and Seahawks but have managed to defeat the Bears and Jets in nearly blowout style. The Vikings have problems of their own with Adrian Peterson being suspended and rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater out tonight due to injury.
If Teddy Bridgewater was in the lineup tonight, I would have picked the Vikings to go into Green Bay and come away with a victory. With Bridgewater out, this game could turn out to be a blow out. Look for the Vikings to put up a fight with Ponder as their quarterback but not enough of a fight to win the game. I expect Aaron Rodgers to pass 4 touchdown passes and toss for over 360 yards. Packers running back Eddie Lacy has struggled but tonight I expect him to rush for over 100 yards and one touchdown. Ponder will pass 3 touchdowns, 2 to Greg Jennings but not enough to win.
Packers 38 Vikings 24
