“The album is done so like I’m going to put it out independently, I’m just getting out [of] my deal right now.. I feel like as an artist what we do creatively should never be imprisoned and at the end of the day we do it to bring it to the fans. It’s not a selfish thing it’s just not fair to the fans. You’ve got millions of people who want your music and they don’t understand the behind the scenes politics.”
In an interview with Power 106 in Los Angeles, Tyga & Chris Brown sat down with the good folks & T-Raww discussed why his name has been every headline as of lately. His frustration with his label, Young Money, was made public a while back via twitter & he was followed up by label mate, Lil Twist & now even the CEO of the team that made him, Lil Wayne wants out of his record deal with Cash Money Records. Tyga told the station that he no longer has creative control over what he puts out under the label & now his fans are forced to suffer because of it.
Because his label is being uncooperative, he will be releasing ‘The Gold Album’ independently, & this will be his first independent release.
“I’m dropping regardless. I’m paying for my own videos and everything so I ain’t waiting on nobody.. Everything come to the light so you got to treat people the way you want to be treated at the end of the day.”
