Actress Demetria McKinney, best known for her roles in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and the Rickey Smiley Show, hosted an exclusive invite-only dinner and listening session of her upcoming EP “Officially Yours” at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA earlier this week. Attendees experienced a private dinner with the up-and-coming songstress prepared by renowned chef, Chef Mali and were privy to being the first to hear McKinney’s highly anticipated EP.
McKinney debuted all six (6) songs that will be featured on the “Officially Yours” EPDemetria McKinney. The final song, “100”, which was produced by powerhouse team, “The Good Guys”, was an upbeat and realistic crowd favorite. Proved to be a standout single for the summer, “100” talks about men who fail to keep it real with women about their lifestyle.
Appreciative for the excellent and influential turnout, McKinney utilized this project to introduce herself as a “singer who just happens to be an actress.” The first single off the “Officially Yours” EP will be released in May and the entire EP will be available for purchase summer 2014. The successful event was sponsored by ASCAP, Tree Sounds, Givenchy and Courvoisier.
