The middle of the map has become synonymous with regularly churning out talented young artists and today we get a first look at yet another special act to emerge from the ‘Go as 20-year-old Chason emerges with his debut proper release in the Remembrance EP. A precursor to the young rapper/singer’s upcoming full-length, Recollections, this five-song project is a welcome introduction to an act that to date has only stepped out with a pair of singles alongside well-known names like Probcause who he linked with for “Drowning” and Angel Davanport and SaveMoney’s KAMI who he tapped for “We Were In Love” that dropped late 2014.
Spending the last six months or so cooking up with producer Drew Mantia at Chicago’s Carter Co Studios, Chason has taken big steps forward, honing not only his abilities on the production end of things as he handles duties on that end here, but also in his vocal range which sees him handle both rapping and singing throughout, exploring several different intonations throughout. With this one, Chason sets the tone for his upcoming full-length debut and gives listeners new and established an opportunity to see what he’s been working on. Check the project below!
