Iman Shumpert joins Kevin Durant in the latest episode of “ballers turned rappers,” & he actually isn’t half bad. I’m a firm believer in people knowing their lanes, but ya’ boy put together a nice little tune in celebration of the Cavs making it to the playoffs.
Being traded from the New York Knicks to the Cleveland Cavaliers was a real win for Shumpert. They’ve had a hell of a year & all the hard work put in on & off the court has sealed their slot in the playoffs–this is super impactful being that this is Lebron’s first year back with the team. The Chicago native started off his music offering entitled The Offs in a tone that reminds listeners of that Andre 3000 flow, but as the track progresses, we get a taste of what Iman Shumpert really can do behind the mic.
He shows mad love to his fellow teammates, pointing out their skills & comradeship with the repetitive chant, “we on that”. Shoutout to Devon Mack for the soundtrack.
