The VVS (Tank Dogg Remix) visual puts a hometown collaboration alongside the work of Jamie James and Hollywood Pompeii Studios.
NEW ORLEANS
New Orleans rap history has always been carried by more than records. It lives in the relationships between artists, the audiences who follow them and the people who turn the music into images. Fiend, Mac and B.G. bring those threads together on VVS (Tank Dogg Remix), a collaboration whose appeal begins with three recognizable names and opens into a wider story about the city’s creative community.
The editorial significance is continuity: established artists creating another chapter, with a local visual storyteller helping frame it. For listeners who have followed these careers, the pairing offers a point of recognition. For audiences encountering them together for the first time, it offers an entry into a musical conversation that has been developing for years.
A Record With a Longer Trail
The song’s backstory reaches further than a single new upload. Apple Music dates ATLTOP20’s VVS release to March 28, 2019, listing Fiend, Mo B Dick, Doeshun, Verse Simmonds and London Jae on the Tank Dogg Remix. An earlier ATLTOP20 DJ pack, published in November 2018, also lists the remix and credits production to TwonDaGod.
Those listings establish an earlier circulation trail; they do not establish that every version has identical production or credits.
That distinction gives the current collaboration a useful frame. A record can keep moving as artists revisit it, new collaborators enter its orbit and another audience discovers it. The older catalog entry is part of this story’s foundation, while the Fiend, Mac and B.G. pairing supplies the focus of the present write-up.

The Visual Storyteller
Jamie James Behind the Lens
The video was shot and edited by Jamie James of Hollywood Pompeii Studios. The official upload credits HPS in its title, with James’s shooting and editing role supplied in the project’s production brief. Her contribution deserves its own place in the story: the finished visual has an author behind the camera as well as artists in front of it.
HPS identifies James as its CEO and a video director, and documents collaborations with Kidd Kidd, B.G., Onsight Deeda and HaSizzle. Her background includes study at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and a visual arts degree from Loyola University New Orleans, connecting her studio work to an education rooted in the city’s creative institutions.
Her supplied creative credits also include work with Birdman and 3D NaTee. As a Black woman director from New Orleans, James brings a perspective that deserves visibility in coverage of the region’s music. Giving her the shooting and editing credit makes the creative work behind the release part of the public record, rather than leaving it outside the spotlight.
The Video and the Making of It
The official video premiered September 30, 2026, on FiendTV, Fiend’s Official Artist Channel on YouTube. Its description frames the collaboration as an ongoing chapter in Louisiana music.
A separate upload, BTS of VVS (Tank Dogg Remix) featuring Mac, Fiend, & B.G., appears on the No Limit Cash Money Fan Page. The artist release and fan-page companion give audiences two ways into the project: the finished visual and a look behind its production.
The broader editorial reading is a story of creative connection. Fiend, Mac and B.G. are the musical draw; James and HPS bring the visual work into view. Putting both contributions on the page gives this New Orleans collaboration room to be understood as a present-day creative effort, with an earlier record in its history and a local filmmaker helping shape its next public chapter.
