Washington, D.C. native, Joey Green continues to experiment with his sound on The Outside, which recently premiered on Pigeons & Planes. With some eerie production from Contour and RenzyBeats, Joey gives us a track split in two. The monotone emcee spits plenty of impressive lyrics and effortlessly shifts flows, while making pop culture references that will make smirk. Joey candidly shares his thoughts on violence in his hometown towards the end of the single, as he spits “I’m at peace knowing I’m not an outsider,” presumably because outsiders get treated worse.
