A 21-year-old man is claiming that DMX and a few others robbed him at gunpoint. X and his entourage allegedly robbed the man of $3,200 in cash at a Newark, New Jersey Exxon gas station.
According to Newark Police spokesman Ronald Glover the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday morning on Highway 21. The alleged victim began to talk to DMX about music before one of his entourage members pulled out a gun, demanding the man’s money. DMX is said to have grabbed the man’s money and jumped into one of four black Cadillac Escalades. The victim followed the cars for a short time allowing him to get a license plate number on one of the Escalades.
DMX has had numerous arrests that include impersonating a law enforcement agent, animal cruelty, resisting arrest, drug possession, and a few other incidents. Earlier on Saturday night, he had a scheduled performance at Newark’s New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
