Mariah Carey has signed to Epic Records and once again reunited with L.A. Reid. The singer signed with the label and is playing another comeback album. It is being reported that Song/Epic offered her only one deal and she “was asking for a $3 million advance; she didn’t get it,” according to Billboard
Mariah’s last album, Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse flopped selling on 117,000 units. So far her new deal will include a re-release of her #1 album, released in 1998, as well as a residency in Vegas’ Caesars Palace.
At least it’s a sign of happy times for the recently divorced songstress.
