Safaree Samuels may have his name ran through the dirt more times than not when it comes to his ex, Nicki Minaj, but I think he’s had enough of the chit-chat– he’s coming for that check.
TMZ reports that Samuels is suing Minaj for royalties on a handful of records & projects that’s he’s previously gone on record to claim he helped write. In his latest interview on Power 105.3’s “The Breakfast Club”, he let it be known that he wrote records from Minaj’s, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” & “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up”.
On Roman Reloaded, Safaree is named as the “Executive Producer” of the album, & on her latest, “Pink Friday”, he’s the “A&R Coordinator”. Along with his seek of royalties for these projects, Samuels also is looking to gain earnings from Minaj’s “Only”, “Flawless (Remix)”, & “Feeling Myself”, both songs which gained leverage from their work with Beyoncé.
Samuels claims to have numerous voice memos & videos as evidence for his case. We’ll see how this goes. Moral of the story, love don’t pay the bills..
