What a night in the NBA. Last night both games featured on ESPN were filled with excitement and big plays however both number one seeds, the Atlanta Hawks & Golden State Warriors won their series to advance to their respective Eastern and Western conference finals.
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Washington Wizards (94-91) despite Wizards star Paul Pierce nearly winning the game and forcing a game 7. Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll played huge for Atlanta dropping 25 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Hawks will face Lebron and the Cleveland Cavs in the Eastern conference finals starting Wednesday night at 8:30.
In Memphis, NBA MVP Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Grizzlies (108-95) largely because of Curry’s huge play. Steph Curry finished the game with 32 points, while his splash brother Klay Thompson scored 20. The Grizzlies fought the entire series but Golden State were true Road Warriors. Golden State will face the winner of the Clippers and Rockets upcoming game 7 matchup.
