In his latest interview with Hot 97’s Nessa, Jamie Foxx talks about his new album releasing in May, giving Chris Brown advice, his famous Hollywood house parties, his Bruce Jenner joke and more. When talking about his five-year hiatus from music, Jamie felt he would come back when he was needed by the fans. He mentioned his twenty-one year old daughter told his dad he can’t think like that because people will forget him musically and move on. So listening to his daughter caused him to release his new album. He told Nessa he trusts in people advice and feedback for him when it comes to music. He even detailed a situation when he wanted to go with a record that he played for Timbaland, but Timbaland advised him he would probably perform that record in casino’s if he released it lol.
He continued to conversation about being a veteran and taking advice from the younger by bringing up Chris Brown name. He mentioned he has been in contact with Chris since the beginning, and through the up and down’s. He mentioned Chris is a frequent visitor at his home whenever Chris wants to get away from the flashing lights. He advised Chris to bring his daughter with him to work so she could see what it is that he do, and so she will learn to respect her dad spending quality time with her when he is not at work. He said there was also a time when he advised Chris, August Alsina and other rising R&B singers.
Jamie was asked about his most recent joke he made on Bruce Jenner. He explained that he is a comedian, and that jokes are only funny when they are not about you. He also mentioned he knows the limit, and will apologize if he feels his jokes ever cross the line.
