The moment we’ve all been waiting for, Jhene Aiko finally explains her line in Omarion’s Pose To Be, “but you gotta eat the booty like groceries”.
After peeping her interview with MTV’s Rob Markman as they went grocery shopping, we learn that Jhene alone cannot be solely credited for the infamous line in the record–she actually co-wrote her verse with Micah Powell, a friend of her’s who’s helped write a few other records with her. She says that she wanted to include the line “eat the booty” in the song because it was fun & unexpected, just like she is.. & groceries just so happened to be the word they chose that rhymed.
Although it is a preference from miss. Aiko, it isn’t a requirement for any lucky fella that gets close to her to “eat the booty”, haha!
