Last month we got a teaser for the Pharrell Williams x Sean “P. Diddy” Combs Executive produced flick, “DOPE,” which will be hitting theatres June 19th. Today, we receive another inside look into the film with the official trailer!
Hip-Hop is highly anticipating this movie as roles are played by artists such as A$AP Rocky, Zoe Kravtiz & more.
A critical hit and audience favorite out of the Sundance Film Festival, in DOPE, Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is carefully surviving life in a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT. A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.
Hopefully we’ll get more video insights into the movie before it hits theatres, but in the meantime, check out the clip above of the forthcoming Rick Famuyiwa directed & Forest Whitaker produced film, “Dope”.
