Vic Mensa liberates powerful visuals for his politically and socially charged single, “16 Shots” which is a cut off his “There’s Alot Going On” project. In a Tweet he stated, “on this day in 2014, Laquan McDonald was murdered by Chicago Police. We have not forgotten & will continue to fight for justice #16Shots.” And in an interview with Rap-Up, Mensa shed some light on his personal experiences with authority.

“I’ve been getting harassed and f*cked with by police since I was 11 or 12 years old. So 16 Shots is a record I’ve been wanting to make for years.”
