The Philadelphia Sixers are trusting the process this season and one of the bright spots on this early 2016-17 season has been the play of Sixers rookie Joel Embiid.
Embiid started the season on a minutes per game restriction due to his previous foot injuries which begin at 20 minutes per game and had peaked recently at 24 minutes per games. To the delight of Sixers/NBA fans alike, the Sixers made the announcement today that Joel Embiid’s minute restriction had increased to 28 minutes per game.
Pre-game update:
•Joel Embiid playing time limit increased to 28 minutes, starting tonight vs. Sacramento.— Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) November 30, 2016
Embiid is averaging 28 points and 12 rebounds on the season and we should see those numbers increase along with his minutes on the floor. Tonight the Sixers are scheduled to face the Sacramento Kings however the game is currently delayed due to water on the floor at the Wells Fargo Center. Stay tuned to HHS1987 for more NBA news.
