The game we have been waiting for over the past two weeks is finally here. The Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers are set to face off in Super Bowl 50 tonight at 6:30pm EST and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a great game.
The Carolina Panthers have been led all season long by their MVP quarterback Cam Newton and as Newton looks to become the first player to ever win a Junior College National Championship, a NCAA National Championship, the Heisman Trophy, NFL Rookie of the Year, NFL MVP and a Super Bowl it will be a tougher road then many believe. The Panthers have been bullies in a way this year getting off to quick starts and setting the tempo early. Their (15-1) record was a result of that however I question if the Panthers have seen a defense this stacked and experienced like the Denver Broncos before.
The story around the Denver Broncos has surrounded Peyton Manning but I was taught at a young age DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS and the Broncos have the best defense in the NFL. Cam Newton is a special talent and I know he is ready to shine bright on the biggest stage, I’m not sure if the rest of his team will be.
Look for Peyton Manning to come out firing and to score twice early. Most of your NFL reports are calling for Peyton’s retirement but he has one more game and a injured Panthers defense won’t have the same affect the Seahawks had on this Broncos offense in Super Bowl 48. Manning will toss 4 touchdowns with over 280 total yards. Cam Newton will have a big game as well. Look for Newton to rush for 2 touchdowns and pass for over 250 yards.
Despite a great game from Cam Newton, the Broncos defense will be too much for the Panthers.
