Is this a case of too little, too late or is this a great PR clean up move? On Wednesday night in Philadelphia before the Sixers were set to tip off against Oklahoma City Thunder, songstress Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to sing the National Anthem but that never happen. Sevyn was told minutes before her performance that she couldn’t performance due to her wearing a shirt that stated “We Matter”. Today, the Sixers have issued a apology to Sevyn and have offered to let Sevyn sing the National Anthem at any 76ers game of her choice.
Was suppose to sing the anthem at @sixers & @okcthunder game but mins b4 @sixers said I couldn’t because I was wearing a “We Matter” jersey pic.twitter.com/wjoJN3rq0r
