Paying homage to the late great, The Game dropped an ode to Prince titled, “Rest in Purple.” The Compton rapper also shared the one time he almost had a collaboration with the legendary artist.
“I wanted him to get on a song and he was down to do a song. He heard the song and there was one curse word in it. He was like Yo I can’t get on that. It’s got a curse word on it.”
Well, friggin’ A. And Game being the Game, he didn’t want to change his own lyrics so it never happened. As you all know, Prince converted and became a Jehovah’s Witness so his decision was heavily rooted in his faith. There was no tension between the two, however, as they laughed it off afterwards.
