Today is a good day for fans in the Philadelphia area. Last night, the Philadelphia Sixers ended a 44 game losing streak defeating the Indiana Pacers (109-105) in overtime to get their first win of the 2016-17 NBA season. This was the Sixers first victory in the month of October or November since Nov. 22, 2013.
For the Sixers, Joel Embiid scored 25 points including 16 points in the second half and overtime. Sixers forward Ersan Ilyasova also added 14 points for the Sixers.
Paul George played big for the Pacers scoring 26 points and Monta Ellis scored 19 but it just wasn’t enough. The Sixers will play the second game of a back to back today in Atlanta as they face the Atlanta Hawks. Stay tuned to HHS1987 for more NBA news.
