OKC Thunder star Russell Westbrook is writing his name in NBA history books. On the second night of a back to back, Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook recorded his sixth straight triple-double and another victory for his team. On Monday night in Atlanta, Russell Westbrook continued his triple-double spree scoring 32 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out 12 assist in the Thunder’s (102-99) victory against the Atlanta Hawks.
Just 22 games into the 2016-17 NBA season, Russell Westbrook has had 11 triple-doubles. Not only did Russell Westbrook turn it on on the the second half of the OKC’s matchup with the Hawks to get a triple-double with about a minute left in the third quarter, he also heard MVP chants in Philips Arena.
