On Sunday afternoon, the (14-13) Atlanta Dream returned home to Philips Arena to face the Connecticut Sun and the Dream gave their home crowd everything they came to see.

Sunday’s game marked first home game for the Atlanta Dream since the Olympic break and the first game at Philips Arena since July 17. Team USA’s own Angel McCoughtry notched 11 (5-9 FG) of her 19 points in the first quarter. McCoughtry has scored double-figure points in 24 games this season. Atlanta Dream point guard Layshia Clarendon matched her career-high 19 points. Dream guard Tiffany Hayes contributed 17 points in Sunday’s victory.
