J.Carter Talks OneMusicFest 2018, The Growth of the Festival, the Crunk Set, The Fest Lineup & More (Video)

On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in downtown Atlanta at the Gathering Spot OneMusicFest founder J.Carter & DJ Nabs hosted the legacy of Atlanta’s Music and Culture at the ‘Greater That One’ Press Conference.

 

As Atlanta’s national prowess and worldwide influence continues to grow in music, art, film and business, J.Carter wanted to highlight a few folks who helped usher in Atlanta’s entertainment greatness. This year as the OneMusicFest moves to a two day event, DJ Nabs has put together a tribute to Crunk music with the ATL Crunk Set” featuring Sean Paul of Youngbloodz, East Side Boyz, Trillville, Ying Yang Twins and Kilo Ali.

 

To date, ONE Musicfest is the Southeast’s largest annual urban progressive music festival, featuring a diverse range of music, including classic and next generation hip-hop, soulful R&B, alternative, and rock. Started in 2010, ONE Musicfest is now recognized as one of the most highly-anticipated celebrations of the arts in the Southeast, with this year’s festival expecting an attendance of 20,000 music lovers from throughout the country.

 

Following the ‘Greater That One’ press conference, Terrell Thomas spoke with OneMusicFest founder J.Carter to pick his brain on this year’s upcoming event. J. Carter spoke on the growth of OneMusicFest and what it has taken to get the fest to where it is today.

 

Moving to a new location this year, J.Carter shared the process on moving OneMusicFest to Central Park in Midtown Atlanta and making the fest a two day event this year. Highlighted by big names such as Nas, Brandy and many many more, Terrell Thomas spoke with J.Carter on selecting this year’s lineup, the upcoming ‘ATL Crunk Set’ and more.

 

The 2018 festival will take place Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 at Central Park in Atlanta, GA. Performers include Nas, Miguel, H.E.R, T.I., Jeezy, Big Sean, Kelis, Brandy, August Greene, Big KRIT, George Clinton & Parliament and more.
