What a game in the Big Apple. Of course on Super Bowl Sunday the stars come out to play. For the Atlanta Hawks, that star was the Gray Mamba, Kent Bazemore who lead the Hawks to a big (99-96) victory.

Basketball tipped off a bit earlier than usual on Sunday afternoon as the Atlanta Hawks were on the road facing the New York Knicks for a special matinee game. Things were different in scheduling because of Super Bowl 52 which takes place later tonight but the Hawks were ready for action.
For the Hawks, the man of the hour is no other than swingman Kent Bazemore. During the last month, I feel that Kent may be playing the best basketball of his career. Kent Bazemore hit the game winning shot on Sunday afternoon and he finished the game with 19 points on on (7-17) shooting. Hawks rising star Taurean Prince was effective as well finishing the game with 13 points.
The Hawks bench put up numbers in the Big Apple today. Big man Mike Muscala added 15 point off the bench. Hawks rookie John Collins added 6 points and Marco Belinelli added 8 points.
For the New York Knicks, the leading scoring was Kristaps Porzingis who finished the game with 22 points with 8 rebounds. Jarrett Jack and Kyle O’Quinn both finished with 11 points for the Knicks. Knicks backup point guard Trey Burke added 14 points on the bench.
The Hawks will look to keep this winning streak alive on Tuesday night back home at Philips Arena. Tuesday night, the Hawks face the Memphis Grizzlies. Stay tuned to HHS1987.com. Follow @eldorado2452 on Twitter and Instagram for all your Atlanta Hawks, NBA and sports news.
