“Homegirl”, the latest single/music video from MC Bravado, showcases the Baltimore by way of New York rhyme-sayer’s penchant for off-kilter, comedic storytelling. The song and video offer a very literal interpretation of the word “Homegirl”, as “our hero” falls in love with a young homeless woman, helping her on (and off) her feet in the process: “We found love in a homeless place…” In all seriousness, after watching, please donate to help end homelessness via a link in the video description.
“Homegirl” was directed by Mike Jon, produced by Michael Oliver, and is brought to you by Soulspazm. It’s Bravado’s last single/visual off his acclaimed Hip-Hop* project, available to stream/download on all major platforms.
Following the release of “Homegirl”, MC B sets his sights on the Spring release of his next album: “Like Water For Hangovers”, which features guest appearances from DJ Statik Selektah and many more. You can catch Bravado in a nearby city this summer, bringing his fervent live show to the Vans Warped Tour.
