When you see him, know it’s all me.
Kehlani boldly proclaims her Bae on new single, “All Me.” The Oakland songstress joins forces with Keyshia Cole as the two deliver a mid-tempo, R&B bop provided by Reecebeats and P-Lo. In the weeks leading to the release, Kehlani reflected on the single via social media: “Ive never had a song hype like this before it dropped. I’ve never had this much energy for a musical release! This is so incredible. I just wanna say thank you, this is one really epic shit.”
Epic, indeed.
The addition of Keyshia Cole’s powerful vocals make for soulful dynamics over the R&B banger. This single was never intended to be released ahead of the new year. “This was accidental. This wasn’t my planned single,” shared Kehlani on social media. “I put a snippet up and y’all made it viral. I’m putting it out because of y’all.”
Oh, the power of social media.
Kehlani ends the year on a high note, following up the release of her mixtape “While We Wait” this past February. And her guest feature on Teyana Taylor’s “Morning” single and video which we featured here on HipHopSince1987 last month. In the new year, we can expect a new album that allegedly includes “All Me” on the tracklist.
