Happy 50th Birthday, JAY-Z!
Brooklyn’s own, Hip Hop icon, celebrated this milestone by surprising fans with his official return to Spotify! As of this morning, Jay’s entire music catalog is once again available for streaming on the platform – after leaving two years ago.
Spotify made sure to show the living legend some love by Tweeting a happy birthday greet, and a “Welcome back to Spotify” message.

If you recall, Jay pulled the majority of his albums from Spotify – a decision that may have had to do with the streaming service’s freemium tier that paid artists less than subscriber-only services.
