No song on Mudd Classics, Vol 1, passes the 2:15 minute mark, which isn’t to say that the compilation tape of Detroit’s new rap class isn’t chalked full of iconic one-liners and an introduction to some of the city’s finest underground talent. Curated by Slitwristshawty, an A&R in Detroit, Mudd Classics Vol 1, features artists like Skoot Luciano, Big Ticket Juice, East Ken, LIE Wayne, and more – check out info on the full roster here. Along with the mixtape, featured rapper Kane Kash shares the video for “P.a.D.,” (Pimpin’ Ain’t Dead), a hard-charging anthem where Kane shares a tale about how he leveled up from drug dealing to pimping, putting some eager students on game in the video.
