Lyricist Li$h 2X (Formerly known as Lish the Rockstar) has arrived. Hip-Hop needed something new and refreshing. Well she’s here with her “Not Savage” remix, her own rendition of Meg Thee Stallion’s hit, “Savage”. “I wanted to make a song in honor of women and my community. We are living in crazy times where unity is needed more than ever. I love Meg’s song, so creating this version was a no brainer to me”, smiles Lish 2X. “No matter your race, creed, or color, we need to love up on one another and encourage one another and this is my way of doing that”.
The lyrics by Lish 2X are straight to the point with no chaser. She’s giving you everything – straight up straight down… with no frills and the visual is inspiring. Shot by Brooklyn’s own, Hajji Hassan, the “Not Savage” video features some of New York City’s most beautiful melanin filled Muslimahs. Adorned with their hijabs coupled with fashion, the ladies make a bold and inclusive statement.
“Li$h 2X is in a zone and the spotlight is on her. After a two year hiatus, she is ready to take her place in this industry,” Hip-Hop Publicist, Lynn K. Hobson stated in a recent interview. Li$h 2X has held her own on the stage with iconic Lil Kim, G-Unit’s – Kidd Kidd, the late Fred The Godson and she’s worked alongside the Drama King – DJ Kay Slay. This is her time. Let her shine.
