As we go through life, it’s all about our evolution. For Rilès, he’s metamorphosing from one of France’s most prominent talents to a global giant. After hundreds of millions of streams and views broadcast from a homemade bedroom studio, Rilès levels himself up as a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer in 2020. On his new EP LVL 36, recorded in the USA, the French-Algerian creator transforms his genre-busting hybrid of rap, alternative, and r&b by opening up the creative process.
Recorded at the legendary Paramount Recording Studio in Hollywood, LVL 36 is the product of Rilès recording outside of his bedroom for the first time in the States. The four-song project previewed its first single with the release of “GOA” (Pronounced GWA) which dropped on 6/19. Other songs on the EP include “LET IT GO” featuring Canadian siren Tommy Genesis, “FEELINGS,” and “KEEP IT SEXY.”
“I’m going through an evolution,” he affirms. “I love Pokémon, and Charizard is number 36. He’s always changing. I decided to name my EP LVL 36 because I’m in the midst of evolving. I feel a lot stronger in every aspect of my life. I’m in another state of mind. I’m making music for myself now, but also for my soul.”
