ScandalousRemix Wallie The Sensei ft. 42 Dugg - "Scandalous"

Los Angeles rapper Wallie the Sensei throws a fresh coat of paint on his hit single “Scandalous,” with an impassioned remix featuring Detroit’s 42 Dugg, out now on Capitol Records. You can listen to Wallie’s all-new version of the braggadocious track.

Wallie has met his match in 42 Dugg. The places they’re from seem entirely different on paper — but they both know just how unforgiving the streets can be. On the smooth remix, Wallie reflects on having to fend for himself and Dugg meditates on his journey to make it out while his friends remain incarcerated. “I got niggas tryna kill me for some beef that I forgot I’m in,” Wallie croons. “But you know that’s just the life I live, these streets that I grew up in.”

Before the remix, “Scandalous” racked up over 5 million combined YouTube views, making it his biggest song to date. Earlier this year, Wallie dropped a colorful verse on fellow L.A. MC 03 Greedo’s “Baccstage.” In August, Wallie hosted his first annual Back to School Giveback in his hometown of Compton to make sure kids had supplies ahead of the virtual school year.

Since the release of his No Love EP at the top of the year, Wallie the Sensei’s quickly become one of the West’s rappers to watch. Respect magazine praised the “Scandalous” video for showcasing Compton’s “camaraderie, hustle, and rawness. Meanwhile, Rosecrans Ave highlighted Wallie’s storytelling abilities, saying that he is “providing guidance to those who come after” with his cautionary, pain-stricken tales. This new remix only underscores just how exciting and versatile a star Wallie can be—stay tuned for more soon.
