Philadelphia area Hip-Hop artist Tez Young has been working on his sound and his hard work is paying off. Tez Young started doing music in January 2019. The tragic loss of his sister due to diabetes opened a space where Tez needed a new way to vent. Music initially ended up finding me when a friend invited me to a studio session.
This unique artist who’s sound is different is classified as HipHop but has a melodic sound like R&B to it. You can almost feel the pain in his voice when you hear his songs.” Tez Young released his first ever single “Truth Over Dare” at that point people knew his sound was different than most Philadelphia based artists. He records most of my music at Rotation Records which is known for hosting various talents even co writing for one of Chris Brown songs on his “Heart Break on Full Moon” album.
Tez Young ended up signing a Distribution deal with Bentley Records where he ended up gaining a manager and eventually developing a close relationship. Now that I’m Independent we’re working behind the scenes. As an artist Tez is always try to stretch the limits of my vocal abilities and my writing so people can see the pictures he is trying to paint.
Tezzy recently dropped my very first EP titled “Chapter 1: Forever Broken” which is out on all platforms. On it he wanted to show a preview of what kind of artist he is. He compiled 7 songs on it but “Beauty&Beast” has been his best song on it after “Truth Over Dare”. Tez also ended up adding “Truth Over Dare 2“ which features Motown Records artist Malachiae whom I talked to and worked with many times.
