unnamed-35 A Boogie Wit da Hoodie links up with Stunna Gambino on "Demons"

Stunna Gambino has recruited A Boogie Wit da Hoodie to feature on “Demons,” his biggest hit to-date. The 19-year-old rising star from New York City’s Washington Heights self-released the original song and video in late December of 2020 which was a major contribution to his more than 100 million combined streams and 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Rihanna brought massive attention to the track after playing it during an Instagram story shortly after the single dropped. A Boogie, a Gambino supporter, joins the song with a verse detailing the survivor’s remorse from an upbringing in cutthroat New York streets. Stunna and A Boogie’s interplay shows chemistry and the impact of a song that continues to resonate.

In the last year, Stunna Gambino cemented his staying power with releases including 2020’s “Rockstar From The Trenches” (featuring Bizzy Banks), his Toosii assisted remix of “Rivals,” and his explosive single “Demons” in December. Since its release, Stunna Gambino has seen such high-profile artists as RihannaSoulja BoyThe Kid LAROI, and Rowdy Rebel show support. “Demons” has since been streamed over 20 million times, while “Heartless,” “Rivals,” and “Rockstar From The Trenches” each near 10 million streams. Stunna carried that momentum into 2021 with April’s “Top Opp Vulture,” climbing past 5 million streams. In July, Gambino appeared alongside Polo G on The Kid LAROI‘s “Not Sober” and performed at Rolling Loud Miami before releasing his single, “ZAZA” the following week, rapidly soaring past the million-mark within the first week of release. At only 19, Stunna Gambino has turned millions of heads by speaking his truth over captivating melodies and flows and quickly proven himself a standout among New York’s diverse Rap landscape.

As a prodigy, he earned the name Stunna based on his flashy wardrobe, made possible by a father who worked at Bloomingdales. A love of mafia flicks inspired the “Gambino.” Like a film plot, Stunna was taken under the wing by some older, seasoned guys on his block. With an older brother, he began pursuing music in his adolescence. “We built a booth out of this one wooden closet,” Stunna recalls. From a makeshift home studio to the city’s best recording spaces, the rapper spoke his truth, vented his pain, and laid out his ambitions. Gambino’s evocative voice and melodic flows first took hold of the city in late 2018 with the release of his single “Still the Same” (featuring Leeky Bandz). Before turning 18, Stunna continued to apply pressure in 2019, releasing his debut project, Underrated, including the standout single, “Switch Sides” (feat. Jay Cino), before selling out his first show at SOB’s. Stunna Gambino has since built a massive fanbase of “vultures” who’ve taken him to new heights with every release.
