Mia is an up-and-coming Colombian-American artist hailing from Miami, though originally born in Medellin, Colombia. Spending most of her youth in Miami, Mia takes a lot of influence from the city and its culture, where she still resides today.
Considering herself a multi-hyphenate, Mia is truly an artist of this generation. With career interests including music, modelling, and entrepreneurship, she is a powerhouse across industries who is one to watch as she continues to navigate throughout her career. Additionally, Mia is currently a student at the University of Miami studying Art History.
Through her connections in Miami, Mia has really grown her platform with the help from others like friend Matt Hunter and producer DVLP who were there to encourage her to follow her dreams and learn how to market herself in the industry. Mia stresses that there aren’t cheat codes to this industry, and that she’s learned everything so far based on trial and error. She knows that to get to the top, you will have to go through uncomfortable situations and always be open to growing and learning.
Mia understands better than anyone how big of an aspect marketing is in the industry. With this, she has grown a large social media following where she can share her works with the world. Though considering herself a private person, Mia understands the power of social media and all the good it can bring. Even still, she knows that there can be negative aspects of these platforms, but still chooses to focus on the positive. She explains:
“We live in a time where people consume content so fast. I just need to stay true to myself and make the most out of every opportunity.”
Given her experience so far, Mia believes that her bold and “CEO” energy have really set her apart from the rest. She stresses the importance of staying true to yourself, and acknowledges that you’ll be more impressive by being unique and with your own style than by following what everyone else is doing.
Looking into the future, Mia hopes to disrupt the music video industry with her groundbreaking ideas and concepts. She looks forward to expanding her career across industries, and hopes to break into products and experiences aside from her music and modelling work.
