At 11 years old, Nicky Rizz had the pleasure of watching a DJ perform live on a cruise. The thrilling experience of the crowd cheering and grooving made him realize he wanted to pursue that path. In 2019, Nicky was selected to join the world-famous DJ crew “Hard Hitters.” This milestone officially marked his entry into the DJing scene in the U.S. What followed was a series of performances at some of the most popular music shows, including Bounce NYC, Headliners NJ, Hard Rock Las Vegas, Wall Miami Society NJ, and many more. The positive response from these performances established him as a sought-after DJ in major cities like Miami, New York City, New Jersey, and Las Vegas.
DJ Nicky Rizz‘s rising popularity and unique talent also landed him the unique opportunity to fulfill his long-time dream of playing at a radio station. DJ Nicky Rizz played on Hot 97 FM, the biggest radio station in NYC, on New Year’s day in 2021. The positive feedback from the show gave him another opportunity to perform at Hot 97 FM on Memorial Day Weekend.
His skyrocketing career in DJing came to an unexpected halt during the pandemic when clubs were closed and shows were postponed. Unable to connect with his fans, DJ Nicky Rizz found a way to bring back the party vigor by launching his debut single “Ay Papi” in 2020. The song was a peppy party number to relive clubbing culture while confined at home. His next release in 2021, titled “Ay Mami,” followed the trend and replicated the success of the previous one.
To stand out in this extremely saturated space, Nicky adopted the ‘Guaracha’ genre for both songs. It presented fresh Cuban music in hard-hitting notes that are unique to Nicky. Currently, the DJ-turned singer is busy with this third single, which he has kept a secret so far. From what has been revealed, Nicky’s next song will be a wake-up call to all party animals to get back on the dance floor as many clubs have now started reopening in different cities.
Nicky’s passion for music knows no bounds, as he always finds a way to pursue his passion no matter what comes his way. Going by his achievements so far, it is only a matter of time until DJ Nicky Rizz is counted among the A-listers in the DJing space across the country.
