Los Angeles DJ and producer DJ Primetime is coming through with some heat on his special day with his new single and latest collaboration with Chris O’ Bannon and BlueBucksClan. He dropped the single “How We Do It” on his birthday (June 22, 2021), and sets the tone for the rest of summer. The trio shows you “how [they] do it,” remaking one of Los Angeles’s most iconic 90’s party songs.
The song reworks Montell Jordan’s classic LA party anthem, “This Is How We Do It,” which takes the refrain and mixes it for one hell of a track. DJ Primetime gives it his all in this new mix, as he delivers a certified anthem, enlisting the staff of Chris O’ Bannon and BlueBucksClan, who match the 90’s vibe and nostalgia, keeping it street and keeping it hood. As DJ and Jeeezy of BlueBucksClan and Chris O’ Bannon exchange verses about “how [they] do it,” keeping it real, smoking, and making money.
DJ Primetime’s song features a fun and melodic chorus, adopting Montell Jordan’s classic refrain “This is how we do it,” mixing it with Chris O’ Bannon’s part as he delivers one hell of a run.
DJ Primetime sure has refined and matured his craft, honing in on his skills and only getting better. Primetime has been making music since he was a boy, starting to play the drums as young as two years old. DJ Primetime then started playing in the church, which is where he credits for his composition style, “I have kind of a church sound in my production.” This church sound is where Primetime takes contentment in his use of “live instruments and samples.” He produces these truly flawless tracks as he blends and melds instruments, samples, and bass, creating one hell of a run, as seen on his latest single, “How We Do It,” featuring Chris O’ Bannon and BlueBucksClan.
