Brought up in a musical family, Hardy had an inborn music passion. His country music environment fueled his natural ability to compose and arrange songs with a unique style. Despite being surrounded by music, it took a while for him to discover his own sound and start writing hit songs.
In 2005, JD Hardy suffered a major setback only two months after signing a deal with Sony Nashville. His sponsor, legendary producer Ray Ruff suffered a heart attack and succumbed to the illness when he was working on Hardy’s album. This left a huge void in the project that Hardy had to take a brief break to deal with the sudden loss and forge his way forward. Hardy had to rise again from his grief, and as a persistent, committed and resilient artist, he was refocused towards his goal. Soon after, he was able to sign a new deal with Castle Records and immediately released his self-titled debut album. In addition, he released the independent singles “Rebels With A Cause” in 2013 and “Country Saves Me” in 2017.
JD Hardy believes that you should never give up or look back no matter the obstacles that may come your way. Even when everything seems so dark around you, you should stay on course and never lose your focus. With persistence, hard work and determination, and finally, you will find success.
The country artist has celebrated several highlights and looks forward to rising to stardom. He has shared the ticket with Mark Chestnut, Alabama, Randy Houser, Tyler Farr, Trace Adkins, and Easton Corbin. Hardy acknowledged his greatest thrill was sharing the ticket with Randy Houser and Tyler Farr, raising over $100,000 for St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
