The Lazarus Effect EP was released by AzSwaye last night (Nov. 1). A new four-track body of work from the rapper features Cozz and Rucci. The outro on the project, the Cozz-assisted “Make It Home” song, is a noteworthy track. The track is set in motion by AzSwaye, who lays down his smooth bars over an ominous beat:
Two other projects were presented by AzSwaye last year: Throw Awayz 4 and Tink World 4 Life. Also during this year, he demonstrated his talent by giving assists on several of his peers’ albums, including 1takejay’s The Winning Team and Rucci, as well as AzChike’s Kourtesy of Us and Rucci.
A few weeks ago, Cozz released his latest single “Fortunate” following the release of a handful of other singles. Throughout the interview, he further explained how this new release is a way for him to showcase his diverse talents as an artist, as it is a signal of a new era. Cozz is the new version of myself, but it is still me, so I am looking forward to letting everyone hear my range as an artist. Happy to be able to share this one with you. Once this starts, I don’t intend to stop,” he wrote. Prior to that, Cozz’s last complete project was 2018’s Effected, which followed Cozz & Effect. Between then and now, he appeared on several compilations like Revenge of the Dreamers, dishing out many show-stopping verses.
