The legendary Maxwell has released a new single titled “OFF” to tease eager fans for his upcoming album blacksummers’NIGHT. With a stunning desert backdrop and directed by frequent collaborator Philip Andelman, the video is a beautiful counterpart to the single. On the track, Maxwell hits his signature seductive notes:
The aforementioned album is scheduled for release in the spring. The honor of being named a legend was also Maxwell’s at the 2021 Soul Train Awards, where he expressed his gratitude while accepting the honor.
A concert tour in support of Maxwell’s upcoming album “NIGHT 2022” will take place across North America in association with the Black Promoters Collective, a consortium of leading African American independent promoters. Beginning with a stop at the Texas Trust CU Theater in Dallas, TX, the 25-city tour will continue with shows at legendary arenas such as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and The Forum in Los Angeles, before concluding on May 8 at the FTX Arena in Miami, FL. Support will be provided by Anthony Hamilton and Joe.
