“Respect,” a party anthem featuring Rucci and 1TakeQuan, is AQ’s follow-up to his prior song, “Top 10.”
With his latest song, “Respect,” Aqeel Quinn, commonly known as AQ, a Los Angeles native, is delivering bars. In the previous year, AQ has gained a lot of attention, especially with the release of “Top 10” with L.A. Higgz, which demonstrated his talent as an artist. Now, he’s back with a new track, “Respect,” featuring Rucci and 1TakeQuan, to keep the momentum going.
The former basketball player-turned-recording artist is only getting started, yet he’s already leaning into a sound that he owns. “Respect,” AQ’s latest single, is another classic LA party song with a thumping rhythm and lyrics traded by AQ, Rucci, and 1TakeQuan, producing a hard-hitting track that will get any function moving. The three musicians put on a show for their hometown and compose a respectable, hard-hitting West Coast dance song.
“Respect” has a dope rhythm created by Joog, a close buddy of AQ who collaborated on AQ’s last song, “Top 10.” Joog creates a fantastic tune to feel and party to by combining a current but 90s style sound. This sort of music puts AQ in his own lane while also merging 1TakeQuan and Rucci’s abilities on the same tune. If there’s one thing everyone should know about AQ, it’s that he knows how to have a good time, which is evident in his music.
The song “Respect” begins with a deep bass that demands “respect,” as AQ jumps on the track with a slowed-down cadence, while 1TakeQuan takes over the melody and provides the intensity, producing an exciting and engaging fluctuation of sounds. Rucci then jumps in with his verse, flexing his way through it. The three musicians are deserving of “praise” for their efforts on their latest collaboration, which highlights their lyrical talent and unmistakable synergy as a group.
