Baton Rouge, Louisiana native DJ Trebble is an esteemed producer making waves within the music industry. DJ Trebble is most notably known for the viral song “Touch Down 2 Cause Hell” which he produced for HD4President and that took social platforms such as TikTok by storm. He has also worked with artists such as EST Gee, Stunna 4 Vegas, NBA Youngboy and Fredo Bang, to name a few.
Knowing since childhood that he would always pursue a career in music, it wouldn’t be until the overwhelmingly positive feedback from his collaboration with Shon Thang on “Dumb Ditty” that helped the talented beat maker to lock in and focus on making a name for himself within music.
“After ‘Dumb Ditty’ came out that’s really when I locked in to the mindset of, ‘Okay this is going to be my career for the rest of my life,’” Trebble reflected. “And that’s what put me on the map in Louisiana — that’s what my first major stepping stone was.”
Growing up in Louisiana has heavily influenced DJ Trebble’s sound and a lot of the artists he has worked with thus far in his career such as Louisiana legend Boosie Badazz with whom he is in the works of doing an album. “Music is different out here. Louisiana has such a distinct style I just fed off of it,” Trebble shared during a recent interview. “The beats I first started making and still make are rooted in that sound and energy. I make all types of beats, I’m versatile as hell but one thing I’ll always be able to make a hit out of is a Baton Rouge beat.”
That distinct sound he speaks of has also caught the attention of a few other popular Southern artists within the industry. “I’ve also been sending beats to City Girls, Lil Baby, and Megan the Stallion lately. So those are a few collaborations to potentially watch out for,” he said.
With plenty more collaborations in the works and releases throughout the rest of this year, DJ Trebble is also making moves towards his other goals.
“I want to build an artist and blow them up from the ground up,” he said. “But at the same time, I also think it’s great to work with the big artists that are on top. It’s important to brand yourself and get your sound out there. So when the time comes, I’m ready to work with whoever is on top and up next too. It’s always about a mix of both.”
When asked about what he hopes listeners take away from the music he is creating he shared this:
“I feel like everybody can do this if they have the mind and passion for it, because I did. Like I said I started on a clunky iPad and a dusty desktop that barely ran. And from there I still made it happen because I had the vision and the work ethic. I wanted this shit to happen and I made it happen. So I hope people take away that anybody can do it.”Keep up with DJ Trebble on Instagram @djtrebble to see all the things old and new that he is doing.
