BeeDotKay, an artist from the Southside of Chicago, just released a hit song called “In A Minute” collaborating with another iconic Chicago artist Rockie Fresh. The duo delivers an insane melody and cadence as they body the flow, giving “these hoes the business.”
“In A Minute” is a true player’s anthem, meant to get you fired up and ready to come out more powerful than ever. The song features a unique flair and flow that delivers like no other BeeDotKay single. His versatility as an artist is on full display on this song, as he gives the people something new this tine. The song is a masterpiece of production. From the fluctuations of sound to the lyrical content and subject matter, BeeDotKay and Rockie Fresh deliver a gem with their single, “In A Minute.”
The song is full of piercing bass, hypnotic melodies, and a fast, upbeat tempo — a type of track that makes you feel like anything is possible — since the record was produced in the last few months of the COVID pandemic. The track has a flair and readiness that many people can relate to, especially the willingness to get out of quarantine. BeeDotKay made the track with the thought of finally being free from the pandemic.
“I felt like the pandemic was wrapping up, and my soul was ready to get back outside to do stuff and see people,” he said in a recent interview.
BeeDotKay wanted to recreate this feeling in his music, coming out of the pandemic and giving his fans a piece of himself that is more refined. He wanted to create and share himself, where he is currently at in his life. And that new BeeDotKay is even more determined than ever, hence the subject matter of his new song. “In A Minute” seeps tenacity and aptitude. BeeDotKay has stepped out of the pandemic with a more polished sound and lyricism, which is hard to believe but true.
BeeDotKay also says there is more expected from him, teasing new music coming soon, a “slew of new singles and videos coming every month like clockwork.” He also said that his next project is currently in the works, The Orange Line EP — be on the lookout.
