“I mean I’m famous but I’m drained. I need some prayer fo’real. I’m so tired. All I need is good vibes.”
Good vibes, indeed. We could all use that right now. Wale strolls into the new year with his new single “Good Vibes (Za),” commenting on the state of US – as it pertains to our social and political affairs. Truly utilizing the power of lyrics, Wale unloads his sadness and hopeless-ness on the record.
“Sh*t ain’t right on this side. All my n**gas dying and the president be lying,” he raps.
Wale also takes the time to shoutout some of Hip Hop’s fallen soldiers, Nipsey Hussle and Pop Smoke, on this record.
The single release follows the theme of his politically charged EP, “Imperfect Storm,” which he recently dropped.
