A new Yung Bleu album will be released in two weeks, Yung Bleu’s debut LP Moon Boy, featuring the previously released singles “Baddest” with Chris Brown and 2 Chainz, “Ghetto Love Birds,” “Thieves In Atlanta” with Coi Leray, “Don’t Lie To Me.” Today, Alabama rapper Yung Bleu surfaces with his latest single, “Way More Close.” The track features production from Hitmaka and Chrishan, as well as Detroit star Big Sean an infectious addition to the Alabama talent’s resume.
Yung Bleu’s Investments and Bleu Vandross series were his first breakthroughs. He kick-started quarantine season with the 6 track EP Since We Inside and released Bleu Vandross 3 months later, with 17 tracks featuring Flo Milli, Boosie Badazz, Yo Gotti, NoCap, Ryl Rodriguez, K Camp, and others. As if to keep pressure on, October would see the release of his EP Love Scars: The 5 Stages of Emotions, featuring “You’re Mine Still” – a track that quickly inspired a Drake-assisted remix. All in all, “You’re Mines Still” is Bleu’s biggest single, bringing Bleu a Platinum award.
A significant part of Big Sean’s success last year was his release of Detroit 2, a sequel to his 2012 release that featured 21 tracks and a number of features from Lil Wayne, Post Malone, Nipsey Hussle, Jhené Aiko, Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Wale, Travis Scott, and many other Detroit peers are included in this collective as well. With 103,000 first-week album equivalent units, Detroit 2 became Sean’s third number-one album. His past success has been celebrated most recently by the 10th anniversary deluxe edition of his debut album Finally Famous and an upcoming recording about being inducted into XXL Freshman class of 2010.
