Today, hip-hop artist KYLE announced that he is launching his own Patreon, sharing unreleased demos, discount codes, behind the scenes content, early entry to shows and more to his fans.
Of the announcement, KYLE stated, “I’m creating a Patreon to come closer to the people who truly love and support me and protect our community from the outside world. To make a place where my art and my journey and the updates of anything I’m doing can be given directly to the people who need it and want to experience it.”
News of the Patreon launch comes after the artist announced the end of his working relationship with his record label and his move towards being an independent artist in an Instagram post. Shortly after, KYLE dropped his first independent single “Love Me Like You Say You Love Me,” which reached No. 1 on SoundCloud’s New and Hot R&B Chart.
After breaking into the mainstream with his 2016 single “iSpy (feat. Lil Yachty),” KYLE has continued to bring the heat with collaborations alongside G-Eazy, Chance the Rapper, Miguel, Ty Dolla Sign and many more. His debut studio album Light Of Mine reached the top-30 of the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Khalid, Alessia Cara and Kehlani. His second studio album, 2020’s See You When I Am Famous, peaked at No. 124 on the Billboard 200 and included features from Too $hort, AzChike, Raphael Saadiq, Trippie Redd, Rico Nasty and Tyga.
For background, Patreon is a creator-founded subscription platform that lets artists create their own unique membership offers and control the value of their art while maintaining direct relationship with their fans.
