As a follow-up to Chicago’s “Community Linx” drop, hip-hop legend Raekwon, Diadora, and Foot Locker, Inc. have returned with the latest – the Diadora N9002 Los Angeles.
As you may already know, Raekwon, Diadora, and Foot Locker, Inc. collaborated to launch “Community Linx,” a series of product capsules built with and for local communities. With each drop and the help of industry professionals, the trio continues the campaign’s mission of providing rising local music talent with the tools, resources, and insights needed to elevate their game.
The Diadora N9002 LA features a purple colorway with a pop of gold, adorning the leather upper, a rubber outsole for increased durability and traction, and Raekwon’s signature on the heel. The newest drop is available in men’s sizes exclusively sold at Foot Locker and Champs Sports beginning this Friday July 15th for $120. The N9002 is an exclusive model for Foot Locker and Champs. If in Los Angeles, head to Foot Locker LA’s 3222 W Slauson Ave Los Angeles, CA 90043 United States to purchase.
To celebrate the release of the Raekwon x Diadora Community Linx “Los Angeles” N9002, Foot Locker LA hosted a private learning session with photographer, NORBERTO and “Beyond The Comb” this past weekend providing students with the chance to dive deeper into their study of photo and film through the Raekwon lens. Upon completion of the learning session, students had the chance to present their own 15-30 second reel inspired by the work they analyzed during the session. The program came full circle as participants’ work was overlaid with music beats produced from the Community Linx NYC event. During the event, Foot Locker Inc. presented Beyond the Comb with a special donation to support their ongoing programs. LA’s DJ Charisma also made a special appearance spinning at the event.
Community Linx kicked off earlier this year with an NYC-inspired Diadora N9002 release paired with an invite-only, four-week beat-making course that brought Raekwon and guest judge, Dave East together with 16 up-and-coming NYC artists through mentorship. The program continued to make stops in key markets like Philly, Detroit, and most recently Chicago. Raekwon, Diadora, and Foot Locker Inc. have curated events tailored to each market and support the city’s local up-and-coming artists and stylists. The final Community Linx launch representing Houston will roll out through the remainder of the summer.
