Perkio, a person who goes by the moniker Lil Durk has been making the rounds on social media earlier this month for impersonating the singer. Durk’s fans are interested and upset by the seemingly successful act, wondering if the real Chicago star may have something against it.
Now, it’s April 14th, and Lil Durk has unveiled the video for his single “Blocklist,” in which Perkio plays the rapper “Pissed Me Off,” along with fellow influencer KaylaThayla portraying India Royale, Durk’s fiancée. After “Durk,” one of the stars of Jerry Production’s video, goes unfaithful to his counterpart, he attempts to reconcile and drives to her house, but things only get worse from there. In the end, it would be the perfect complement to a song that’s about a woman who’s fed up with her husband’s infidelity to the point where she’s cut him off:
“Blocklist” is Durk’s latest single from his seventh studio album 7220, which features 18 tracks as well as contributions from Summer Walker, Future, Gunna, and Morgan Wallen. Thanks to its first-week sales of 120,500 units, the album became his first number one solo release on the Billboard 200. Through the joint album The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Baby, he had previously topped those same charts.
